Katarina Witt was born December 3, 1965, was born in Staaken. In her search for fresh challenges, she is constantly opening up new areas of work for herself and gathers experience across a variety of fields including figure skating, producing presentations, acting and writing. Katarina Witt will end her amateur career at the World Championships in 1988. The following 3 years she headlines along with Brian Boitano (World Champion, Calgary Olympic Champion) her first US and Canadian professional tours. The first time in ten years ago, Madison Square Garden shows a skating show featuring figure skaters, titled "Witt and Boitano Skating". The event was so popular, it sold out Madison Square Garden for a complete performance. It is her return as an competitor to in the Olympic Games at Lillehammer, 1994 for her third appearance. In the past 10 years, she toured through the US and Canada with the shows "Stars on Ice", "Champions on Ice" as well as participated in numerous professional events around the world. Her own production company WITHWITT has been behind several internationally ice-show productions she creates, produces and headlines. With WITT, the company is setting high standards in the world of skating, and produces live event shows such as "Divas on Ice", "Katarina & Friends", "Enjoy the Stars" and "Winter The Magic" for US and German television.
